Some people say the Asics GT 2150 could be the best running shoe in the whole Asics GT-2000 series. Many of its main features benefit the moderate over pronator who needs help with motion control and stability.
The Asics GT 2150 has a very well built air mesh that helps your feet breathe when you run and so moisture and bacteria can be dealt with efficiently. The mesh is put into strategic places, such as places that sweat the most; it also adds a nice lightweight feel to it.
Near the mesh there is also 3M reflective material, so if you ever run in the night you will be seen and protected. My personal favourite thing about the Asics GT 2150 is the P.H.F.® (Personal Heel Fit) technology which consists on memory foam so the next time you run it knows exactly the shape of your foot and moulds into it. This is perfect for runners who suffer from ankle pain and need that extra support in the heel.
Cushioning for this running shoe is Asic Miner to none with the ASICS® Forefoot and Rearfoot GEL® Cushioning System being placed in tactical areas of the trainer; mainly places which get the most shock. Having this system in place means it's easier to enjoy your smooth run as it reduces the stress and impact on your feet.
As well as having brilliant cushioning the Asics GT 2150 running shoe has an Impact Guidance System which helps motion control. It does this by allowing the shoe and foot to transition together through to contact. This linked system improves your natural gait from the heel strike to toe off.
Since the heel strike is one of the most stressful times your foot has to go through, there is durable technology called the AHAR® Heel Plug (ASICS High Abrasion Resistant rubber) added to the running shoes heel to make sure you get that extra cushioning upon impact.
The reason it suits moderate over pronators so much is due to the fact it has DuraSponge® high resistance rubber on the fore foot. Having this drastically improves durability and cushioning, especially over older Asics running shoes in the series.
